Microwave Error Code F7

Description

Microwave F7 error code indicates that the microwave oven is not heating

The microwave oven has a sensor that continuously monitors (‘senses’) the oven & food temperatures in order to regulate the cook time.  If no heat rise is sensed, the control will turn off the microwave oven & display error code F7.

The F7 error code “oven not heating”, can be a result of several different conditions that need to be diagnosed by a qualified service technician.

Trip circuit breaker/disconnect power for one minute.  Then restore power.  If the problem persists, call for service.

Additional Questions

If the microwave displays a error code F7, typically the control microcomputer board is not the failed component.  The control is the ‘messenger’ of the problem, typically not the failed component.
